a siren's song in the distance
The Holy Kiss Cabaret at the Rickshaw Stop, San Francisco, way back on 9 February 2006 (why yes, I am once again behind on posting photos, why do you ask?), featuring Alli, formerly of The Cold War.
The Holy Kiss (in both regular as well as Cabaret flavours) is in residency at the Red Devil Lounge every Wednesday in April. See you there? But of course!

Didn't you used to have full posts in your RSS feed? Why did you change it to excerpts?

Oh yeah, great pictures. You mentioned a new camera, but this one looks pretty good too. What kind are they? I'm in the market for a new one myself.

1: Whoa, I hadn't even realised I'd done that! Oops. Back to full posts now.
2: Thanks! This camera is a Canon PowerShot S70, which is no longer in production, and from what I can tell is actually superior to its successor, the S80 — mostly because the S80 inexplicably does not do RAW (the S70 does), which I rely on almost exclusively. The S70 is an awesome little camera, but definitely limited.
The new one is the ever-popular Rebel XT. Still not a professional-level camera, but far more versatile and powerful and SLRier than the wee S70. I'm still learning how to use it, so the first few sets of photos taken with it will doubtlessly be no better than the ones taken with the S70. Also, while it is tiny for an SLR, it's gigantic compared to the S70, so not nearly as convenient to carry around on a whim. But I love it all the same.
